£20 Multi meter gone mad...

I know fluke is one and there is another but cannot remember it's name.

I use the Fluke 116. It is made for us!
I would highly recommend buying it. Do not be tempted by cheap meters. You will never look back!

It is snap it or soft on or something. Has a little round sign or magnet on it I believe

This one does the job for less than £80

Whatever you do, upgrade the test leads for fused ones if it doesnt have them, could save you a new meter and a swift death if you mess up with it!

You can buy any fused test leads, they are generally all compatible. Fluke ones are good, by they will cost a fair bit.
