Have an Inline Shut Off Valve with Compression Fittings that has developed a Leak.. The Valve actually serves No Useful purpose.. Because of limited access and no real wiggle room.. Could I Safely use a piece of Pex Hose and SharkBite Fittings to Replace the Valve completely ??

If you have the correct sizes, Sharkbite fittings are able to transition between materials like copper and pex as long as you use the correct liners/pipe stiffeners in the plastic ends. Bear in mind if the copper tube is acting as part of the electrical earthing, you should add in an earth bond cable between the two sides to bypass the plastic section. This may be totally unnecessary but it's something to be aware of none the less.

No reason why you can't cut out the valve and bridge the gap with pex and pushfit if the valve is truly redundant. Just follow the manufacturer's instructions for the fittings and you'll be fine.

Every two weeks or so I have to go and top up the system because the hot taps are running cold. Boiler display is flashing 0.6 bar and I fill up to 1.3. I've had an engineer look inside the boiler and he can't see anything wrong. I've checked the pipes all over the house and cannot see any...
