Discuss Why does boiler run everyday for couple seconds at 0933am? in the Central Heating Forum area at PlumbersForums.net

W.B Greenstar 4000 installed.
Heating not turned on yet as not cold enough here.

But the boiler runs every day at 0933 (hear it fire and hear water in rads). Rad water runs for literally 3/4 seconds. Stops. Does it again a couple of seconds later.
Then nothing until exactly at 0933 the next day.....?

Preheat is off, pressure stays constant around 1.2 bar.

Any ideas?

Thanks In advance.

It's the boiler making sure that the valves / pumps, etc. operate at least once every 24-hours to prevent them from sticking, which is what can/does happen after long periods of inactivity.
