Does anyone use a digital manometer?

Which do you use and would you recommend having one in addition to a water one?

Can they be used or burner pressures as well as tightness tests?

Thanks and merry xmas to all :carolers:

I've got the Kane 3500

the first one you should buy is a cheap water one, for around £15. Then when you need/want a digital one for burner pressure, fan pressures or what ever then get one. Ive got the little testo mini one and one built into my FGA. No point buying one if you dont use it as it will just go out of calibration date and cost more money sooner.

Most FGA have one built in anyway now so you dont need a seperate one really.

once you have a cheap water one its always there for backup even if you upgrade to a expensive water one later, as water dont lie and is my prefered method most of the time.

Water for me too every time , got the Kane for my commercial stuff

Cheers guys I have my water one which is what I use at the minute. No great need for one to be honest so will leave it for now. One of the lads at work has the mini testo also. I'll probably wait until I get my own FGA and make sure it has the function for tightness testing.

You'll only use it for fan pressures etc. you'll never tightness test with it. By the time you've waited for it to boot up, you could have doe the job with a standard u gauge

I left my regin one in the van a few years ago and it froze then cracked. Gutted!

I've got the anton 140 which does the job, only use it to check burner pressures though, use a water gauge for tightness testing

Got the testo, but only use it for services. Use the water ones for everything else

EG a 100% accurate non calibratableU guage or an unreliable electronic piece of junk which need checked every time yiou use it

Lol a builder mate, still uses a water level to set out, his laser is in the skip! In his words it can never be wrong!

Regin premier every time easy to see doesnt spill or blow out easily my old water one is wedged in the roof of the van just incase of an accident

Been using my Kane 455 for everything(nice bit of kit 5year parts and labour was the reason I picked this one ) but always have had water gauge on van for back up just got a tpi 608 digital pressure gauge Aboat 6 weeks ago been getting on with it ok nice and small to fit in bag

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks
