Been asked to price one for a customer so simple question any good or not?

Pros and cons?

Personally think they are over priced but hey ho they requested one

new ones are fine and you can put good weather comp controls on them etc...Same heat exchanger as the rest though. But pricey for what they are.

I like em. And contrary to what others might say I've found their support to be excellent. I fit them wherever possible. They are nice to carry out repairs on

The back up is excellent they're quiet and easy to use. But they've just pulled the ten year warranty, and for such an expensive boiler that's crap.

What do they offer now? 7 year?

5 on pro and 7 on the plus. It's the most expensive boiler on the market, I hate Worcesters with a passion. So it might have to be the unreasonably large Baxi! The Vaillant just became a hard sell!

The baxi is a beast but lovely to fit. Apart from the stupid off centre flue. Don't you get extra warrantee on the vaillant installer scheme?

Thats exactly why i went to baxi found it really hard to sell Vaillant unless the customer requested it.

5 year on pro and 7 year on plus. Customer can pay for extended warranty. Got email from rep the other day. For the pro it's £30 a year for a max of 10 years but needs to be bought in one hit so 3 years would be £90 for example and the plus is a bit different but will cost £150 to get 10 years.

Personally I think they are great, they can be range rated, easy to install and work on, their app registers the boiler and the gas safe registration free of charge and I find tech support to be very good. They are expensive though.

i would go with a vouge afaik still brass inside b10 year warranty if your registered

I just can't bring myself to fit Ideals, I just don't trust them. If they can manufacture ideals and icos boilers!

That makes them just to expensive, it's ridiculous.

Give the baxi a go. And as a bonus I know a marvelous chap with a shed load of baxi flue bits!...:39:

Good to know, it's just the off centre flue, weight and god awful programmers that put me off.

I wouldn't say they're much heavier than the vaillant really. Internal controls on them are gash to be fair. You can buy the offset flue to centre it up.

We are talking about the half ton duo Tec aren't we?
