Discuss Unusual knob fixing - How to remove a tap knob with an unusual fixing? in the USA area at PlumbersForums.net

Is anyone familiar with the fixing on this 1960-70's "OSY" branded mixer tap knob?

I am trying to change the washers but there seems to be no obvious way to remove the knobs. There is no screw or nut to release them. It might be push-fit but don't want to force it before confirming that is the case. Please see the images attached.

That certainly looks like it pulls off, there is no screw to hold the head in place. But the plastic inside has sections to allow the grip on the valve. Pull it off, it will probably be tight.
