I'm doing a DIY shower enclosure and going to board over the current plasterboard with waterproof backerboard. The best prices seem to be for Marmox XPS board as an alternative to WEDI but online the delivery cost is killing me. A local supplier I can collect from sells some that they say is pretty much the same as WEDI but made by TYCO. Its half the price of WEDI and approx same as MARMOX but at least I can collect this and not pay delivery. They say the only real difference to WEDI is a slight difference in the cement face thickness. Has anyone used TYCO XPS backer board and if so is it any good?
