click on my albums to view also shows a strip down service and a fan being replaced(sadly in the wrong order thanks to photo bucket)

3 year old boiler they should be replaced every second service imho

E168 pcb failure
E133 - Flame Failure - possible causes


  • [*=1]No gas, payment meter ran out
    [*=1]No spark
    [*=1]Faulty spark/sensor leads/earth connection
    [*=1]Faulty spark gen
    [*=1]Spark gap to large (4mm)
    [*=1]Flame sensor gap to large (7.5mm)
    [*=1]Condensate frozen/blocked
    [*=1]flue/heatexhchanger blocked/restricted
    [*=1]flue seal fault, flame lift (visciation)
    [*=1]Under gassed
    [*=1]faulty gas valve
E20 ch ntc fault
E28 flue ntc fault
E20/E28 Heating/Hot water NTC fault


  • [*=1]Check resistance - 10kohms at 25[SUP]o[/SUP]C reducing with temp rise
E50 Flue Sensor fault
Check resistance - 20kohms at 25[SUP]o[/SUP]C

E110 SAFETY /HIGH LIMIT STAT OPERATED

E119 - Low Water Pressure Fault.
Top up pressure &
. check for leaks


  • [*=1]check prv is it passing?
    [*=1]put heating on and watch to see if there's a significant pressure rise. If so suspect expansion vessel has lost its charge.
    [*=1]If unable to re-set then suspect blocked weep to pressure switch or faulty switch.

E125 primary circuit circulation fault



  • [*=1]Pump fault
    [*=1]Flow restriction through heating system
    [*=1]
E130 flue ntc activated
E160 fan or fan wiring fault
this on all mk1 platinum,duotec,gold,heatmax and promax combis
