Is there a simple power closed, spring return open motorised valve I can fit to serve a towel rad with a heating element, so that when element is switched on, the valve closes and there is no circulation around rest of heating circuit
This is on an open vented system and would be just on the flow to the towel rad so expansion shouldn't be an issue?
Any thoughts or better ways

No it's to prevent convection to rest of system when it's off but rail is on?

Yes use of a normally open 2 port. Power to heater and it closes 2 port. But if it's a fully pumped system why not tie rail in to cylinder? So then when hw is on rail is on? Unless electric shower assume hw on when use towels??
