Surrey flange

Evening chaps. How many shower pump supplies can you tee off a surrey flange? I am doing a bathroom, and need to put in a pump. There is a bathroom upstairs that is run with a negative head pump. So what I am asking is, can I get my supply for my new pump off of 5 his supply.

If there is already one pump off there I would be fitting an essex flange in the side of the cylinder instead. Much better solution anyway as it lets more water through than a Surrey Flange and sucks less air into the pump too.

Yeah defo Essex flange , easy to fit too, easier than a Surrey flange. First one is always the scariest !!

I know what you mean by scary. I try to avoid these at all costs

One more thing, you know when swivel taps start leaking at the swivel joint above the grub screw, do you fix or replace?

How about the new salamander little pumps. Ct50 or something like that. They say in the manual that you can tee off the hot supply straight after the vent as long as it's the 1st tee on the pipe run. I fitted one not long ago like this and it has been all larry. No call backs as of yet

It will pull air if both pumps run. Your pulling more water than loft tank can supply.

Anyone? Fix or replace tap. I usually just replace the tap but I have a client who has one of the taps that does the 3 way thing. Hot, cold and drinking water and I am guessing it is quite expensive

It turns out that Shower Doc has a site dedicated to just this make. Strange since I have never heard from them

AJ Gummers mostly made OEM stuff.

If they sold it themselves, it was under the Sirrus brand name. I think that they belong to Bristan now.

Quite possibly. You may well need to upgrade the cold feed pipe to 28mm.

I have seen two pumps working on a 22mm supply in lots of places. Never been asked to see why they were spluttering. Maybe a whole house pump could be better. The same problem would still persist a. I didn't quote for a 28mm supply to be put in
