Some People do more damage than good

So I went to look at a job before, leak on a CH pipe,
leaks coming from a Tee under the floor, the customer decide it'd be best to try and wrap some of that pipe repair stuff around it the stuff the sets rock hard, but put it all over the pipe so instead of a quick easy 3 straights and a new tee I've now got to take up two floors and replace a load more fittings,

Is there no way for you to get to the joining straights to cut them? In tight places where I can get slicer in, out comes my multi tool :-D

have you tried heating the stuff up with your blow lamp?

If he can wrap it you can cut it out surely?

If its a solid floor dig a bit deeper if its a wooden floor get the rip snorter into it.Either way is a 5 minute job but using a 4lb hammer and chisel kills me these days.
I need to go out fro a lie down and a *** to get my breath back lol

yeah that stuff comes off but takes at least as long as when someone has used 15 coats of paint on a pipe. sometimes for your sanity and physical health you got to go further upstream. even gaffa tape wrapped tightly enough and inaccessibly enough and round something you best be careful with your stanely on can take ages.

Yeah that's the trouble thurther up the pipe is more joints then a joist with a wall on top of it

I'll give it a go with the blow lamp first see if it comes off
