I was thinking a normally closed powered open valve which I have taken out before when the landlord and tenants supply were separate but I haven't fitted one I was wondering if anyone had fitted this type of thing in this situation and had any feed back on this
I have recently fitted one in a family home, youngest lad was hyper, would get up at night and turn on the gas, fitted normally closed and key switch where both parents had regime for locking. Solenoid was within a metre of appliance, key switch in cupboard.
Nic simple job, got to look for something now for another kiddie who gets up puts the plug in basin and bath then turns taps on.

Have a look at these mate, I have fitted one quite a few years ago for a dementia sufferer who would turn the taps on full whack in the middle of the night. It only stops when the bath starts to overflow though.
