Hi. I have a Salus RT510TX thermostat and the batteries in the transmitter unit ran out. (After it went dark I kept forgetting to go get some alkaline batteries)
Now with new batteries it won’t power up at all. Any ideas please? No combination of buttons seems to reset it??
The receiver seems fine. Now switched to manual so I can have some heat 😁
Cheers for any help.

Solved! For us anyway. We had all the issues I’ve been reading from others.
So our screen was blank. And replacing the batteries did nothing
Solution: You have to remove the dead batteries and wait at least ½ hour before putting the new ones in
Unable to re-pair with the receiver.
Solution: turning the receiver off and on did nothing. It had to remove power to the receiver for a minute. When it came back on it happily paired

Thanks Gordon. I had this problem today with the blank screen and just saw your reply. Leaving the batteries out for half an hour worked. Thanks so much.

Had the same issue - came home to a very cold house on one of the coldest nights of the year. Thermostat screen blank. New batteries = still dead. Based on this advice, left new batteries out for 40 mins (for good measure). Put new batteries back in = it WORKED!! Many thanks. (House temp was down to 7C when thermostat started working again.)

Thanks for this tip worked perfectly!

I had this problem last year actually went to buy a new thermostat but couldn’t get the same replacement but an updated version anyhow that didn’t work so was about to call emergency plumber when tried putting the new batteries in one last time and it came on which ties in with what you guys have experienced. This morning the screens blank i changed batteries still blank so hoping leaving them out will cure the problem again seems very odd though !!

THANK YOU!!! Problem is solved

The slide down section under the screen to access batteries.
Do leave batteries out totally for at least 20 minutes before putting in new ones.
Lots of You tube stuff on line on how to re pair if needed.
