Hi Guys,

I am having a problem with a rointe rd water heater. The hot & cold water connections are made in 1/2" PLASTIC! threads, the problem is I can not find anything to fit them as a rigid fitting. At the moment the only thing that seems to fit is a 1/2" flexi tap connector because the internal bore is too small to fit a normal rigid tap connector. I have looked at other forms of connection and I have concerns the they will not seal. almost like they are designed to have flexi's on them if this is the case I am not impressed.

People at rointe have been less than helpful on the subject apparently anybody that knows anything about there own products are out of the office till Tuesday. :banghead:

So I am wondering has anyone installed a rointe water heater if so any ideas?

Cheers

A lot of the water heaters are being designed to connect using flexi's. Some of the manufacturers even specify in the mi's. If you have to use flexi's, don't buy cheap and make sure wras approved.

Maybe try speedfit 1/2" female iron short of 15mm tube and a compression both end flexi:43:regards turnpin
