I have a Greenstar 4000 30KW combi boiler, and am planning to partially drain down the system to move a radiator. There is a blue lever ("keyless filling link") underneath for gradually topping up the pressure after bleeding a radiator, but I suspect this would be a very slow way to refill the system after a partial drain down. What is the usual refill procedure on this model?

You use that filling link.

Thanks for replying. So is that how a system is filled initially with this type of boiler - just by holding the lever down as long as necessary?

I've attached a photo taken from underneath the boiler showing the blue lever on the cold mains feed. Out of interest, what is the purpose of the threaded spout hanging down in the black section linking the cold mains feed to the central heating circuit?

Correct it’s the nrv air gap so might drip a dip or two when filling

Ideal Logic 24, Previous problem was that the hot water was only cold or barely warm if the heating was in use. If heating was off and boiler cold then would get hot water most of the time. Changing the flow cartridge about 2 years ago (when I moved in) solved this problem enough to suffer it as...

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

Hello all, I’m replacing a concrete paving slab patio in the back yard. The original patio used 50mm deep concrete slabs on hardcore & sand. I’m planning to pour a 100mm deep concrete patio on 100mm hardcore. In order to achieve the same final height to line up with the rest of the patio, I...
