does any one know and can recommend me a good ratchet spanner ,have very bad wrist
and changing rad valves becomes nightmare for me

My ratchet spanners are by stanley in all fairness all my hand tools are. They where expensive but I got them in all different sizes and have one for every job, I have had them ages and they look and work like they where bought yesterday. I really rate stanley tools for these reasons.

How you damage your wrist? hope your back to normal soon.

I bought one of those ratcheting adjustable spanners by Stanley...it too also looks like I bought it yesterday...mainly because it's never used!

Stanley stuff is good though. I just wouldn't buy a ratcheting adjustable, the idea is better than the reality.

i dont know how it happened ,must have happened at work just have a lump and a bit of pain ,went to physiotherapist -he said have got nothing wrong but just looks like a bone is not in the correct place and sticking out ....well see my gp next week ask to x ray it

Never seen a ratchet open spanner. Might be someone who makes them? What about an extra long 16mm? They are around 290 long so makes it easy to turn.

Or you could just use a set of grips. I have a 10" set of these which don't mark chrome fittings

Oooooooohhhh Like them! Shiny!

For the cak handed out there do they come as left handers too???? :p:p:p:p

you can buy a ratchet tool for removing rad tails at most merchant but cant see how you could use a ratchet ring for the valves usually half a turn leaves them finger tight

I'm left handed to but i tend to use my right hand for most things.
When i was an apprentice my journeyman used to make me do things with my left hand and say "you need to learn this because if you learn to do it with your left you can do it with your right anyway"

It took him a while to find out i was really left handed, he though i was just a smart ar:D

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks
