I want to join a pvc downpipe 68mm with cast iron pipe but can't find anything online. I have seen a coupler which as stainless steel fasteners but they don't look appealing on show

There are few decent ones for soil stacks that sit in the cast iron pipe but I've not seen anything for downpipes

Could someone please link me to what I should be looking for? I take it that all cast iron downpipes are the same size?

The pipes go through a concrete slab in the garage which I don't want to dig

Thanks

I've not seen anything like what you're describing, but that doesn't mean they don't exist.

Cast iron will be a different size depending on the manufacturer and style.

You could try a cast or cast effect couple with the spigot into the cast at ground/low level and sealed with a black silicone or joint compound. Not ideal but would do the trick.

The only other option that springs to mind is to use a fernco coupler, which is the one with stainless fastners you mentioned.

Hi All Hope your all doing good :) I'm moving our kitchen about, so change all plumbing/electrics, everthing. It's all going well except for one plumbing point. The sink was originally connected under floorboards (badly) to a 68/70mm caste iron pipe, but since sink location has changed I'm now...

I have a duplex on the Goldie in Queensland, bottom of my driveway has a grate which connects to a 100mm agi pipe 500mm deep that runs around the side of my house, takes a turn under my patio then a turn out to the back outside my fence into a gravel pit. My property backs onto a park with a...

I have a Worcester Bosch 24Ri regular boiler (open vent) which is 10 years old. It has been pretty reliable with only one fault (the fan unit gave up after 9 years) in last 10 years. It's also had one new burner, rubber seals and electrodes changed in services. I have noted that it's best to...
