I have kitchen sink with a cable operated pop up waste (not the pivot and rod type), the knob on top no longer extends and retracts the waste. Any ideas on:
a: how to repair it, i.e does the waste need completely disassembled? as the cable enters the trap area.
b: Can you buy a new waste kit if necessary?

Thanks
Andy

Has the screw not just dropped out the bottom of the plug?

Yes you can buy new ones.

Personally, I would not mess about trying to repair it. Just buy a new sink waste assembly and replace it.

Thats better ignore the one that says straight swap the link came out wrong soz
