bit of an odd one. UFH been working fine for about a year or two now.

today the pipes going to it before the zone valve are stone cold.

its a very basic system with Hive thermostatic valves controlling the rads upstairs and the zone valve downstairs.

Could the pipe be blocked?

Ah nevermind figured it out. Basically the zone valve had got stuck shut. Its a honeywell one shock horror.

Anyways I force it into the open position and everything went back to working. Put it back to the normal position and so far so good.

ended up replacing the synchro motor on it.

bit odd its died tbh given its only been around a year and a half.

but that is from a lot of running every 2 hours

finally had loft insulation and cavity wall insulation installed today.

Hello all, I’m replacing a concrete paving slab patio in the back yard. The original patio used 50mm deep concrete slabs on hardcore & sand. I’m planning to pour a 100mm deep concrete patio on 100mm hardcore. In order to achieve the same final height to line up with the rest of the patio, I...
