Hi all I've just bit the bullet and bought a makita DHR242Z Cordless SDS, i got it home put a battery into it and pressed the trigger and its really noisy with out even drilling into anything. Has anyone got one of these what is the same. I feel stupid going back to Axminster if it perfectly normal. Thanks Dom

No Dom but ive the BHR261rde its 36v and its real noisy,, as they pack a good punch into the hammer action with more torque so can sound slightly noisier ,

You could try these :wings:
