Bought a new battery for the above drill and been advised by sc fix to file down a ridge on the battery so it will fit the old drill. Instead I'm most probably going to file down a small ridge on the bottom of the drill so it doesn't null the warranty on the battery.

Has as anyone had similar problems.

Get your old battery compare with the new and see what needs filling to make it fit, I suspect you'll only void the warranty if you open it up.
 
Filed a tiny plastic nodule on bottom of my drill, new style battery 4 ah battery fits like a glove, happy days
