I know this is a 'Plumbing tools' type of thread but as its Oil specific, thought Id port here, happy for Mods to relocate if desired:

Im fed up with posting my Mk1 Flexibles into deep hot boilers to scrub the chambers. Anyone found any good long reach wire brushes/ scrapers?

Also if its hot I either unplug or disable the burner and stick the heating on, whip the cover off and burner out, and service that first, look at tank, etc tend to find it has cooled nicely by then.

Answer to my prayers: Bought 2 of these bad boys last week, tried one out Friday and its excellent. Very cheap and may not last forever but wire brush and scraper, absolutely bloomin brilliant

from ebay for £3.25 each called 18 incher BBQ Grill Brush

I use welding gloves and a regular wire brush or paint scraper

I like the look of that bbq brush! :)
I got a very similar one to the harris one from pound land, I get my wire brushes from there, £1 four brush, last ages!
Definitely getting the bbq brush though, thank you!! :)

I use a gasket scraper set I bought from Cromwell years ago.
