Hi,

I recently moved to a flat which has a Ferroli Optimax HE Plus 31 C boiler. Up until recently it worked fine but as of late there has been issues when using only the over the bath shower.

The boiler has no problems heating the water, the ignition ignites and there is a constant flow of hot water. When using the shower, the pressure is a lot lower than it was previously and the boiler hardly ignites, or does for a brief time. the water temperture also fluxuates.

I've had a look on other forums and youtbe videos. I've turned the boiler off at the mains, which reset it and for a brief time this solved the problem. I've tried that again to no avail.

I've also had a go at holding down the reset button until i get the TS/T5 message and pressed the +/- on the hot water and heating to set them to 01 that i have read on other forums.

Is there anything else I could do? or that I am doing wrong? The water pressure is fine at 1.5.

Thanks in advance

Rob

Welcome along. Think you could do with getting a gas safe engineer in to check it over. We can't provide any DIY fixes on gas appliances and the likelihood is that a fix would be within the casing. It could also be an issue with the shower are all other outlets ok??

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...

The fittings below are for a mixer bar attached to a self contained shower. i.e not a wall. The attaching screws have snapped. I could get two new brackets, dismantle that existing one and start again or I could try and re attach via those screws, removing the broken ones from the plate and wall...

We run a community village hall and have a large kitchen provided for the use of hirers. This includes a Lincat SLR9 gas cooker which I believe is a 23.8Kw appliance with all six burners and oven on max. This was installed some 10 years ago and has passed all subsequent Gas Safety inspections as...
