hi lads as the title says, I am on a boiler swap at the moment just wanted to make sure that I do it right.

The air brick from outside is open but from now beide the toilet it’s blocked can I ignore it and install the boiler as normal?

Air brick needs to come out or as town says as it's still connected to the void eg cavity

Also why the ptfe on the threads of compression fittings ?

I think I understand the question Ron lol , I would just render some sand and cement over the top of the vent .
Flue looks a bit short but it maybe the angle

Looks like maybe the old boiler flue going off the dirty marks etc?
