My public liability insurance is up for renewal and i was wondering how many of you out there have special insurance for fitting solar panelling etc. I have had a quote including specialist solar panelling insurance, although i only install solar thermal, and it is twice as much as just standard plumbing, heating and gas. I obviously understand the reasons for this but i just wondered how many of you bother, as i only install 5 or so systems a year (although hoping i can increase that!!!!). Wouldnt solar thermal installations be covered in my plumbing and heating insurance? as it does cover you for vert flues...and that is roof work! sorry for the long post, just after some advice guys!
