Hi lads.
Just realised I'm about to remove a Potterton combi which has 15mm gas feed.
A MAIN combi going for installation and the pipe size is 22mm
Pipework is totally concealed atm and there's about a 1500mm of 15mm accessible pipe run to the old Potterton
Is there such a fitting or a solution.
I can quite easy understand if it was the other way round
Do have to upgrade the pipework from the meter all the way to the boiler?
There is sufficient gas supply from the meter which is about 2.5meters away.
It has 26 mbars standing pressure and a 20.5 mbar working from the meter.
There was a cooker which is capped off and cooking on electric.
No other gas appliances in the place.

Cheers

You were never going to get sufficient gas down 15mm for a combi.

Seen loads of combi with 15mm pipe and perfect working pressure from meter reading to combi before!
Just this is awkward it has 22mm from the meter then under flooring and up in 22mm. Which has a run of 1200mm from the wall
Sounds like it'll have to be

You will only know the drop for meter to boiler once it's fitted unless you can test the existing.

What size combi are you fitting?
If it's only 2.5 meters from meter to boiler you may be lucky

just change the 1.5m to 22mm then test pressure.
i think it will be ok.

Hi, I seemed to have a blockage in kitchen sink. A plumber came and cleared all the pipework that is visible inside my home (there was debris and pebbles!) We saw that the pipe that takes water down the gutter was visibly full to the top. He said he will return with a coil to push through...

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...
