Me again

I am at my wits end. I want to replace the boiler but I am on my backside and cannot afford to.

I have been getting an intermittent F L Code. For around a year. I've had an engineer out 4 times.

In that time boiler has had a new PCB, new electrodes, new gaskets, new (earthing wire) whatever the fail safe wire is that tells the PCB the boiler has ignited.

After that was done it was serviced. Worked fine for maybe 2 months. No issue.

I got a smart metre installed last week probably nothing to do with it but thought I'd mention. New gas and electric metre.

It powers up, ignites, then cuts out and cycles like that until the Code.

Sometimes it'll.start working on a reset bit today it's just refusing to go on, meaning no hot water.

I'll need to get an engineer out again but anything obvious I could check that's rudimental I'd be glad of the tip.

Thanks

We run a community village hall and have a large kitchen provided for the use of hirers. This includes a Lincat SLR9 gas cooker which I believe is a 23.8Kw appliance with all six burners and oven on max. This was installed some 10 years ago and has passed all subsequent Gas Safety inspections as...

Ideal Logic 24, Previous problem was that the hot water was only cold or barely warm if the heating was in use. If heating was off and boiler cold then would get hot water most of the time. Changing the flow cartridge about 2 years ago (when I moved in) solved this problem enough to suffer it as...

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...
