How easy is this to change? Straight swap?

is it possible to change this easy enough straight swap?

customer is moving in 2 weeks and wants a new shower minimal cost.

Changing built in showers are never quick and usually involve removing tiles.

If there is access to pipework in a cupboard or something on other side and you can find a valve that pops through the existing hole then it could be easier.

Otherise not a two sec thing.

Aqualisa valve? Why not just buy any parts that are needed for it? Cartridge is easy to replace when you get used to it. (The O ring in the valve body requires a hook to remove it and a screwdriver to slide new one into right area). The outer controls then can be replaced if needed.
If that valve is fitted correctly, then the entire body should be just a matter of disconnecting and swapping. When the outer disc shroud is removed there should be an open hole around the valve body with all 3 nuts on show. But that's if some idiot didn't plaster it in without fitting the temporary cover.

In the first photo it' says one piece imprinted on the unit.

If there is a way of changing a cartridge etc I'll do that. The shower keeps dripping and temp is up and down

It is really no problem to repair a Aqualisa valve, - they are designed to be repaired.
You just need a picker tool for to remove the O ring and some silicone grease.
The cover part is held loosely by 4 bolts and the cartridge is also held by 4 bolts.
Just a matter of pushing the new cartridge in making sure the filter side is on proper side.
If you need any tips Armyash, just ask me, but the cartridge comes with instructions for different versions of the valves. Be carefull to purchase correct cartridge - there is one for combi systems also

Best knows best eh? Good sound advice and yes if it's aqualisa should be fairly easy.
Did one a few weeks ago took cartridge out then went to plumb shop, so could get exact replacement.

I've repaired at least one Aqualisa. Actually come to think of it it was a piece of the proverbial. Others I've tried, not so easy.

I think it should be the law that all showers are bar mixers.

Normally cost about £80 for the cartridge. But you might need the parts of the knob also.

Do they want a new valve of the same type? Or a different valve? If it's the same direct replacement valve it shouldn't be too difficult as the pipe work should be the same for the new valve. If a different valve then tiles will need breaking and pipe work amending possibly to fit.

I hated shower valves when I first started them and I still hate them now!
