Fitted this about 18 moths ago and the other week the immersion stat failed (cylinder only heated by electric) and the pump was subject to very hot water enough to split one of the hoses.
I fitted a new hose but the pump is now noisy on the hot side and has reduced hot performance and I have the pump rigged up to a makeshift tank here in the garage..(what better way to spend a Saturday night?).
I've taken the impeller out and it seems to be okay although I've never stripped one down before so can't really say for sure. Are parts available for these pumps....it seems a shame just to chuck it.
Was expecting to see 'something' looking broken in the impeller and housing.

On closer inspection the impeller has warped slightly and in catching on the housing which in turn had scuffed.
