Help with a letter of interest

Hi everyone.

I am a recently qualified plumber and am looking to get into the industry in London. Besides applying for advertised i have been told to send out a letter of interest to as many companies as i can to see if they have any jobs/work experience available. The only problem is i am not very good at writing letters or selling myself so was wondering if anyone has a sample letter that maybe they sent out or maybe just some key points i need to include.
Unfortunately i have no actual on the job experience so really need to sell myself well to be given a chance and thought you guys might know what sort of things i really need to include. I know because i have no experience it will be quite hard but this is why i want the rest of the letter to sound as good as i can.

You may struggle for a sample letter

Your best of writing up your letter and sending a good CV with it as well

You could always drop your letter on here for us to make comment
