Looking for a decent one to get. One I have now is crap.

Just for the usual testing for voltage/resistance over components.

Anyone know anywhere doing good deals?

fluke 116

Google fluke 116 then look for either tester.co.uk or iswww should be about £150 including. That is the absolute cheapest I've found them new

Cheers lads. Been looking around tonight. Are centre brand ones any good?

You just want a big display with a back light amd a good set of silicone leads.
It hasnt got to be expensive.
A seaward or fluke wont be any more accurate that a cheaper brand

I have a fluke 177 which is ace, but lacks the uA reading of the 116 which would be v useful, and would be what I'd get should mine fail.

Plumbase do an auto ranging one for about £29 - for the money its really good.

I bought a cheap one from ebay branded vici it has been brilliant. Think it was about £16
