Hi, is anyone familiar with this connector piece? Doesn't look like an amazing design but a like for like replacement would be preferable.

It appears to be called Twyford Nocturne Accelerator. (may be available elsewhere at a lower price.)

As above but swap the bog we recommend as they go brittle
 
Recently had one and swapped the cistern out for a new one (low level with flush pipe). The nuts that are in the pan actually leak if removed so they need to be kept if you do the same. You may even be able to raise that cistern and do the same, mine had cracked because the nocturne had dropped and the weight of the water on the screws killed it

Hi all Noticed bad smell in my drain out side put my hand down and it unclogged it for now however I checked my sewer drain and after flushing my toilet a good few times nothing is going to the sewer so don't know is there a blockage or what way it works many thanks and advice would be grateful

Hi they used to say as a last resort you could discharge the D2 pipework at high level and turn it back to the wall. Similar to a combi boiler. I have just looked back through the regs this seems to have changed and it isn't mentioned now. It now mentions if at high level it should be discharged...
