Hey guys,

I'm having quite a stressful situation where i work for a company of gas engineers, we get sent to all types of jobs and sometimes we end up back at the same job, in the meantime a different engineer may have been there and also completed work or parts may have been requested by one engineer and not fitted by the person sent to fit it because they find or think the part is not needed. so you can imagine how hard it is to diagnose things sometimes. but anyway..

I have a baxi combi 80, i am either getting teppid water from the hot tap or if you try to reduce the flow (as you would normally do to see if it gets hot if the flow is reduced) the boiler wont even fire.
when the hot tap is on fully, you get barely warm water from the hot outlet BUT, the bottom of the divertor valve is red hot! and so is the flow pipe, so i was sent to change the divertor valve. and we are still getting the same problem!

when i was previously at the property i requested that the plated heat exchanger was replaced, but i think the engineer that was sent to replace it said it wasn't needed. and therefore did not replace it.

i rang baxi and they said it was either the plated heat exchanger or something like the inlet venturi assembly? apologies i cant remember the actual name of it but it basically has everything connected to it and it hhouses the pump body!

hopefully the information i have provided is sufficient! please help before i have a nervous brake down! :bucktooth:

Ideal Logic 24, Previous problem was that the hot water was only cold or barely warm if the heating was in use. If heating was off and boiler cold then would get hot water most of the time. Changing the flow cartridge about 2 years ago (when I moved in) solved this problem enough to suffer it as...

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

Hi, I seemed to have a blockage in kitchen sink. A plumber came and cleared all the pipework that is visible inside my home (there was debris and pebbles!) We saw that the pipe that takes water down the gutter was visibly full to the top. He said he will return with a coil to push through...
