I'm heading to Manchester in November. Unfortunately, the wife and kids are going too. Am bringing my 2 lads to a United game. The missus lives for the shops. I just want a pint and an easy life.

So anyway, can any of you gents recommend a good hotel to suit me.
Ive never been there before.

thanks in advance for any tips.

there is an hotel in the trafford centre grounds which is easy for both of you then, or there are several near the football ground, you are even good in the centre of manchester as the metro drops you off at old trafford station 5 minute walk to the ground. for poshness there is the hilton at the begining of manchester city centre this is good because 5 minutes to the metro close to the cinema also lots of eateries nearby recommend Almost famous burger restaurant Almost Famous thats nearby in the complex with the cinema.

" I just want a pint an an easy life" that made me burst out laughing thank you so much for making me laugh, it's not easy : )

Get up that Hilton tower, its the tallest building outside London. It has a skybar half way up, also Imperial war museum at media city has a big chunk of world trade center steel.

also football museum at urbis just near victoria station near harvey nicks and selfridges so your wife can shop while you and your lads visit the museum

I get discount for Man U games, not a Man U supporter though.
