What's the history with both? Are they the same company? Heard that Hasgohe was the orginal company and Grohe was setup afterwards.

would be good to know as get asked this question loads by my customers!
 
Hansgrohe was established by Hans Grohe back in 1911.

Grohe was formed when his son Freidrich bought out Berkenhoff and Pachedag in 1936.

Apart from the family relationship between founders, there is no other connection.

same as the dassler brothers adolf and rudolf in Germany. one started Adidas and the other started puma
