Can someone in the know kindly clarify, please? I have tried to get Gas Safe on the phone, but no good!
I have had conflicting advice. I am in the position of being able to start a small business employing two nephews - both of whom are Gas Safe registered. But do I have to ensure the business itself is Gas Safe registered, or is it ok to start the business using the two registered engineers?

On the HSE website, it says:
"It is illegal for an unregistered person to carry out work on any domestic gas appliance"
It doesn't say it is illegal for an unregistered BUSINESS to operate without registration.
On the Gas Safe website, it says about registered businesses AND registered engineers, but fails to clarify. In short, does a kitchen refit business have to be registered, or can I simply employ two registered engineers to do the gas work?

Thanks.
