Hi Guys,

Had a question about gas pipes in a HMO. The gas meter is flat 1 however the gas pipe for this runs through the 2nd flat to feed the 3rd flat. The 1st and 2nd flat has its own gas meter inside.

What I wanted to ask was is this allowed in terms of regs were the gas pipe goes from flat 1 via flat 2 into flat 3. The pipe also is not protected in a fireproof duct when running via the 2nd flat.

Thanks

Is it sub meters or own supply ?

Speak to the networks see if there happy with there service pipe running inside

As for flat 3 I would recommend rerouting or ducting it

I was stupid enough not to check the position of the pipes under the tiles when installing a toilet and drilled right through the center of a 16 mm copper water pipe. I exposed the pipe by removing a ~30cm section of the plastic sleeve and a ~10 cm section of the pipe around the hole. Several...
