Discuss Fitting sink in loft with low water pressure system. in the USA area at PlumbersForums.net

Hi, I’m making a “man cave” in my loft and I’d like to fit a sink for making drinks and washing up etc. It’s a low pressure system with a header tank up high in the gable end and 2 water tanks on the deck. I know one feeds the hot water cylinder below and one feeds the cold water below.
I doubt a hot water supply would work without a pump so I was planning on using cold water supply only and using a water heater for hot water. Which pipe do I cut into to feed the sink? Do I take it off the header tank up high or take it off the cold water tank?
I haven’t figured waste pipe out yet, I was thinking to lead it to the soil pipe below the guttering...
All advice appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Take it off the mains water supply that feeds the ball valves to the tanks, if drainage is a problem then maybe a waste water pump such as a saniflo may be the answer . Kop

Hi, thanks for the reply. So take a feed off the header tank or off the cold water tank on the floor?
