Earth wire in bathroom

I have an earth wire running through the room i'm making into a bathroom. Will this have to be diverted out of the bathroom?

It runs from the mains box, down through the room in question and then down onto the ground floor where it connects to the outside gas meter.

Yes, That needs to be connected. It can be re-routed if you wish

Don't need to re-route, make sure its connected at both ends.
