Ineed to remove a heated towel rail as I need to re tile the wall behind it, I see the valves enter the rad from the bottom and not at right angles like the normal rads I fear that once I undo the valve the water will just drain onto the floor as i will not be able to collect the water. Any suggestions please.

Lots of old towels and a wet and dry vacuum cleaner. Towels on floor and wrapped round pipe, shut off valves, crack the nut and suck away.

Alternatively cut an old plastic bottle to fit around the pipe and seal with plumbers mait or similar and direct the water into a roller tray or similar.
