I am after a decent sack truck capable of shifting oil boilers around. There are a couple in screwfix that will take over 200kg but are they any good?

Try looking for an old one with pneumatic tyres. The new trucks tend to be a bit gash.

Failing that, get a skateboard. I have one, does a cracking job. Had a stanley cooker on it once :)

Skateboard good idea. Have a piano trolley meself. It's handy 4 bigger cast iron boilers, d 4 wheels move throu 360. It'll take a fair bit of weight. Moved a 5000l bundled tank on it d other week. Only a drop of oil in it. There wasn't any way to get a teleporter or forklift in to move d tank so make up some ply to support it's weight and put it on d trolley. If yeh can't get 1, borrow a shopping trolley and use d wheels and make something up.

Can anyone recommend a decent multi meter, preferably under a 100 pounds. It's for checking boiler components so I don't need a top spec one ....just easy to use and reliable. The fluke 115 looks good but its above my budget. My current socket and see one was great but it's developed a fault.

I was stupid enough not to check the position of the pipes under the tiles when installing a toilet and drilled right through the center of a 16 mm copper water pipe. I exposed the pipe by removing a ~30cm section of the plastic sleeve and a ~10 cm section of the pipe around the hole. Several...

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

Hi all. Hope you have all been keeping well. A while back I decided I only wanted to fit one brand of boiler and decided on Viessmann due to space for servicing and changing parts if ever needing to. I am finding my decision rather hard due to the different clearances on flue runs and cupboards...

Hi, I've followed this excellent forum for several years but have never posted, so decided I'd better give some details. My status is the upper end of DIY and I've a couple of house renovations under my belt (my own homes) I am retired but do volunteer handyman jobs for the elderly. Not...
