Hi Guys,

Just completed installing shower 3 way diverter thermo valve in stone wall (limestone with lime mortor bond) dusty to say the least.
The 15 mil copper tube with soldered joints needs protection against corrosion from any cement I may use afterwards, I believe internal filler is the best to use over the pipes but I also belive a plastic heat resistant wrapping may be necessary!! any good advice welcome

Thanks for the advise wondered if the lime elements in the mortar would play a part in corrosion as the properties around 1780 circ.

Good learning curve though:smug2:

if the pipe is touching the limestone wall at all then you need to protect it all the way round the pipe. as simon says, duct tape, denso tape, even electricians tape.

22mm barrier pipe, simples!!! silicone the ends, safe as houses.
