Is it ok to drop copper centaral heating pipes down a stud wall through notches? Usualy use plastic so drill holes.

nothing wrong with it, just make sure if your notching the face of the stud that no one puts a screw through it when its plasterboarded etc, also make sure its clipped properly.

I always drill centres of studs and drop them through the middle, have to solder a couple of straight connectors on but no big deal.

Either way as above will work fine, Just make sure that there isnt likely to be something screwed to the wall afterwards

that's so I guess drilling joists and threading copper heating pipes though is ok too. Like said you'd likely need a few sockets though.
