Anyone done their commercial training? I have searched the net and seems to be a small upgrade/changeover similar to lpg. Couple of days training on different aspects like catering and laundry.

dont believe everything you read in magazines

Mainly core gas safety, pipework and commercial appliances for servicing of catering equipment. I thought this would be a substancial course but googled some training providers and found couple of days each. The key word there is probably "training providers"!

just catering can be done in a few days

laundry, not sure if thats worth taking the time off work and spending the money to get, i've never in my life seen a gas fired laundry appliance or met anyone who has the ticket

out of curiosity just went on gas register to see how many companies doing laundry there were in my area, theres actually a guy who specializes in it. shows how much i know

the cover some miles though like you said not many with it but there is a market for it

Gas fired tumble dryers are common in the likes of big care homes and dedicated laundry factories.

As for what you might need well you would definitely need the core gas safety and the UP1A then infill with whatever appliances your up for typically catering and heating appliances.

Stuff like high pressure supplies and metering, gas boosters and static gas engines is specialist stuff. Most commercial and lighter industrial stuff is low pressure. There are bigger consumers who have MP supplies and then there are mega users who have 7Bar and up supplies.

I am looking for a commercial training center (catering) in the north west, any suggestions please ?

Anywhere in mid Wales or the midlands to upgrade to catering?
