We have a combi bolier fitted and the hot water pressure is abysmal. United Utilities have tested the water supply and confirmed that the pressure is 2.5 bar and the flow rate is 16 litres per minute. If you turn atap on downstairs, flush the toilet or use the washing machine, the flow to the shower stops. It takes 23 seconds to fill alitre container using the hot water tap on the basin and also the same on thebath. Using the cold tap to fill a litre container takes 7 seconds on the basinand 4 seconds on the bath. We have a Main Combi 30 Eco fitted. Is there anything that could be undertaken to improve the flow? Is the combi boiler faulty?

Where did they measure the cold flow rate - kitchen tap ?
There seems to be a fault if its taking 23s for 1 litre of hot.
It could be a few things but just about the only thing you can check on the boiler is the isolation valve on the underside. If you refer to your instructions it will identify the cold inlet valve and also the on / off position. It may be partially closed but im sure someone would have checked.
