What is the correct treatment to use on a conventional heating system (inc microbore) before fitting a new combi

What is the appropriate chemical - not sure if it should be X400 or X800

What do other use?

X400 - System Restorer - A non-acid treatment for cleaning older heating systems, restoring circulation to radiators and pipework. A ruthlessly efficient way to eliminate the build-up of magnetite sludge,

X300 - System Cleaner - Seems to suit new systems.

X800 - Jetflo Ultimate Cleaner is a heavy duty cleaning formulation designed to remove corrosion deposits and scale from boiler heat exchangers, radiators and pipework in domestic central heating systems.
