The 5 years is up on my gas safe qualifications in October so thought I would get it done practical today definitely gets more difficult with age sitting in a classroom but hey ho got to be done practical today ,applainces next week . Cheers kop

This is such a dated practice now . A full week off in the class room is ridiculous with the cost implications incudes.
It would make way more sense to do one day a year refresher instead of this rip off money making scam

With all this online stuff and social media I'm surprised that it hasn't been lobbied for something to change.

Cheers guys got my practical completed today, agree totally hammers can't really see the point in alot of it we all need the updates i agree with that , but I guess we all get treated the same I suppose so it is what it is probably be the last time I do it 56 now so 61 when its due again we will have to see. What a day 7am till 8pm could really have done without this after the past couple of days second fix on two bathrooms , a leaking mira 88 service kit fitted and other parts fitted , got in the door and had customer with a burst flexi on a bath on the hot tap with a combi she had sense enough to turn the water off not before she had a indoor water feature though made safe then headed for home soaking wet and done in. I want to reconnect some outbuildings to an existing water supply. The supply pipe is old 22mm MDPE and buried for a fair distance so not going to dig it up and replace it 😬. Question is can I use normal 22mm plumbing push-fit connectors to make the connection as finding 22mm MDPE fittings...

We run a community village hall and have a large kitchen provided for the use of hirers. This includes a Lincat SLR9 gas cooker which I believe is a 23.8Kw appliance with all six burners and oven on max. This was installed some 10 years ago and has passed all subsequent Gas Safety inspections as...

Hi all, I'm installing a concrete patio out back. By the wall under the kitchen sink I have an existing P-Trap gully for the grey water from the sink, dishwasher, washing machine etc. When I pour the concrete there won't be any chance to dig it up anymore. From my own research I get the...
