My stack appears to vent into the loft, presumably using an air admittance vent, as there are no odours coming from it until you lift off the vent. Can this just be teed into with a new branch waste pipe (inc. toilet and shower waste) or would I have to extend the pipe to the outside?

Hmm. Your stack also needs to vent gases which build up not just let air in. Is there any other soil stack connected to your system that has an open vent? Perhaps above the tiles?

Teein in will be fine. No need to open vent as long as aav is above spill level and ventilated but may be the best option if you can fit a tile vent away from any openings.

I was stupid enough not to check the position of the pipes under the tiles when installing a toilet and drilled right through the center of a 16 mm copper water pipe. I exposed the pipe by removing a ~30cm section of the plastic sleeve and a ~10 cm section of the pipe around the hole. Several...

I want to reconnect some outbuildings to an existing water supply. The supply pipe is old 22mm MDPE and buried for a fair distance so not going to dig it up and replace it 😬. Question is can I use normal 22mm plumbing push-fit connectors to make the connection as finding 22mm MDPE fittings...
