Hi guys a quick question. I purchased a modern tradional towel column radiator for £30 quid bargain. I'm going to use it for my bathroom but there is small rust bits on the column radiator so I was thinking to sand it down and primer and finish coat is this possible?

Best option would be poweder coat

But yes paint would work have to be careful on heat rating tho

You can get rad spray anywhere but Hammerite do a radiator enamel spray or paint . Depends on the finish you want.

Years ago herin door’s pal painted every radiator in her house with emulsion, as a bit if a self confessed pro diy decorator , I said it will crack, fall off and just not work .

How wrong was I , its still on and looks as good as the day she did it .

Yes you can spray or hand paint them just use the correct paint. Kop

Hate to tell you this mate. But she sands them down and paints them every 4 months.:p:p:D

Haha i know, it was for a little girls room:) there is a feature wall to the left which is the same colour.

Looks good. Did you quick sand over then a primer then final finish coat?
Scotch brite with panel wipe, sanded, can't remember how fine we went, then panel wiped again to clean up, used some kind of container paint I think, left a nice finish, my friend is a paintsprayer by trade so I just followed his lead to be totally honest. As long as it's clean/grease free and you prep it well you should be good. Just check paint can handle the temperature. Spraying with air fed gun gave a nice even coat.

Hi guys. I'm trying to identify a toilet model before ordering a seat for a customer. I went to what used to be a Roca stockist (they no longer are) and one of the guys there reckoned it might be "The Gap". I went to the new stockist and the guy there disagreed it was "The Gap" and that he'd...

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...

I was stupid enough not to check the position of the pipes under the tiles when installing a toilet and drilled right through the center of a 16 mm copper water pipe. I exposed the pipe by removing a ~30cm section of the plastic sleeve and a ~10 cm section of the pipe around the hole. Several...
