Hi all,

Once our renovations are complete we have a 4 bed bungalow, with 2 en suite shower rooms and a family bathroom.

We currently have a WB Greenstar 30CDi combi located in the middle of the bungalow.

We plan to have the Combi removed and a 250lt/300lt UV Cylinder plus System boiler installed in our Garage.

The mains pipe is being upgraded to 25mm this week in readiness for the above.

We live in Surrey, so please could anybody advise on a VERY BROAD COST to:
1. stripping out the existing Combi and pipework.
2. supply and fit UV cylinder and System Boiler;
3. install a secondary HW return?

Many Thanks,
Paul

Bungalow construction, number of walls to go through, length of gas pipe run?

Too many variables. Put an ad in the I'm Looking for a Plumber section of the forum.

You really need to get three engineers eyes on to give you a better idea. It sounds like a decent size job so you shouldn't have a problem getting somebody.

But make sure they are Gas Safe registered AND G3 registered for the unvented side.

Good luck.

Hi

Thanks for that.

To answer your questons:
Bungalow construction - Timberfarme,
Number of walls to go through - From Garage to existing pipework 2 walls,
Length of gas pipe run - Gas meter ad main in garage - 2-3m
Length of full secondary run pipe (From Garage, via 3 bathrooms, to kitchen and back to Garage - 25m)

Note- NO NEW RADIATORS ARE REQUIRED. This is purely replacing a Combi with UV/System Boiler/Secondary Run.

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...
